Sr. Mahboubeh: Sr. Mahboubeh is the type of teacher that anyone would fight to have. Not only is she enormously knowledgeable, her personality is unmatched by others.
Her classes, I hear, are jam-packed with information about science, physics, chemistry, and personal success. Her teaching methods really gives students the opportunities to digest the information taught in class instead of just memorizing a couple formulas for a test, and forgetting it afterward. She pushes every single one of her students to do the best in their classes. Sr. Mahboubeh is also one of _the most_ helpful teachers I have ever seen. She doesn't just teach science and physics and chemistry; she gives students 'life-lessons'. She gives tips, pointers and advice on how to work under pressure, how to make the right decisions, how to perservere at seemingly impossible things, and how to just be a naturally good person in life. One thing that I love about her is the way she makes her students study for tests. She has all these cool tricks and shortcuts on how to quickly solve math problems, and other simplified ways to memorize a whole load of information at once. Foldables, notecards, sticky notes, tabs, and things like these are just a few of the ways she helps her students learn to their full capacity.
She is a genuinely jovial and good-hearted person. From what I hear, her "corny jokes in class" help lift the pressure of the seemingly endless amount of information, concealed into one chapter! She "lives to help and educate students," and her main goal of teaching is to advance students and not only make sure they get into college, but succeed greatly in college as well. Like I said before, her vast amount of knowledge is not to be overlooked. You would be surprised at the things she knows, like how to efficiently, yet peacefully, keep two bubbly kids from wrecking a living room.
She _wants_ to help, and that's one of the many, many things that make her such an amazing teacher. May Allah (swt) keep her on the straight path and shower her with blessings for all the things she has done to help make MCS students what they are today. :)

Agha Mehdi Ali: Brother Mehdi Ali is one of those people who others look up to in the greatest of respect. His powerful, moving statements and speeches are what makes MCS the school it is today. His complimentary attitude towards the students is a manner that everyone should possess and reflect back towards others. He gives people, both young and old, the motivation to do more in this world and to make a difference. In MCS, he somehow makes every student want to learn more and do everything to the best of their abilities for the sake of Allah. In a sense, he is sort of a father to the students at MCS. He always guides and helps the youth when they come to him with their troubles, he always takes the time to answer both academic and Islamic questions in depth, and he never asks for anything in return. Everything he does is for the betterment of the MCS students.
In one of his most recent touching and emotive speeches, he said to the students that “MCS is a beacon of hope and Islam for the world to see.” Brother Mehdi sees “the clarity and iman in the hearts of the students,” and wants them to treat it as a blessing from Allah the Almighty. He encourages us to not only learn about the secular sciences in school, but also to learn and practice the Islamic values that MCS emanates.
In another moving and motivational speech, he said that he “came to MCS for the sole purpose of giving opportunities to students without having peer pressure affect how they lived their lives.” He said to not “let any peer pressure indicate or tell you who you are supposed to be.”
He gives Muslims at MCS a reason to be proud to be Muslim. In his opinion, the students of MCS “can make a huge impact on this world.”
In essence, like I said before, Brother Mehdi is sort of a father to MCS students. Not only does his vast knowledge of Islamic fiqh and adhab make the students more Islamically aware, his personality gives people the strength to do what they want.
MCS and the IEC community owes him a huge thank you. Keep him in your du’aas and may Allah (swt) continue to guide him. :)
